Very likely, yes. Using the catalog identify a library item you wish to borrow. If it is requestable you should see a "Request" option at the top of the catalog record. Click on it. The system should prompt you to enter your NetID and password and allow you to select the library location you wish to pick up the item.
After an item arrives at the RRC Library you will be sent an automated e-mail letting you know that the item is ready for you to check it out and it will also indicate the date you must pick it up by.
This is also the process to use if someone else has the item checked out. A hold or recall is placed on items check out by another patron. Holds/Recalls allow you to be the next patron to use the item.
Not all materials can be sent. For example items from reference, reserves, and the Southwestern Writers Collection should not leave the Alkek Library.
If you have any questions please use the RRC Library's Ask a Librarian options.
