Very likely, yes. Using the catalog to identify a library item you wish to borrow. If it is requestable you should see a "Request" option in the catalog record. Click on it. The system should prompt you to enter your NetID and password and allow you to select the library location where you wish to pick up the item.
After an item arrives at the RRC Library you will be sent an automated e-mail letting you know that the item is ready for you to check it out and it will also indicate the date you must pick it up by.
This is also the process to use if someone else has the item checked out. Following the steps above a hold or recall is then placed on items already checked out. Holds/Recalls allow you to be the next person to use the item.
Not all materials can be sent. For example patrons cannot place holds or request items from Reference, Reserves, or the Southwestern Writers Collection (Wittliff Collections).
