Q. What if a book or article I need isn't in this library?

Current students. faculty, and staff at Texas State can request that we borrow materials we do not own from another library.  This process is called interlibrary loan. The online request form for this service as well as further details are available here: https://www.library.txstate.edu/services/borrow-renew/interlibrary-loan.html

Visiting area libraries to check out needed materials directly is also possible.  Texas State users would first need to obtain a Texshare borrowing card from our library.  Further details and an online request form for that service are available here: https://www.library.txstate.edu/services/borrow-renew/texshare.html  Requests for cards may also be made in person at the Checkout Desk of the Alkek library.
