Plagiarism is when you turn in anyone else’s work as if it were your own. You need to be sure that you document every source that you get information from, including if you reworded or paraphrased the information in a different way.
Check here for the Texas State Honor Code for more information on why this is important.
Texas State University has a UPPS (University Policies and Procedures Statement) on academic honesty.
UPPS No. 07.10.01 includes definitions of cheating and plagiarism and also details who has jurisdiction over violations of the honor code, procedures for investigation, and the penalties for violations. The UPPS includes Texas State's Honor Code.
