To have this option show up in a Google Scholar search, you can begin each search from the TXST University Libraries Google Scholar link.

To save this setting on your browser, and if you don't use the TXST link to Google Scholar, follow the Steps below. If you switch browsers you'll have to set up the steps below on the new browser. Once settings are set up to show the option for FindIt@TxState, your browser should save the option. If you have your browser set to automatically clear the cache, this setting will be cleared each time you close your browser.

Steps:

  1. Open Google Scholar, top left corner under the three horizontal bars
  2. go to Settings
  3. Choose Library Links
  4. enter "texas state university" in the search bar
  5. Click blue search button
  6. mark the option that ends in "FindIt@TxState" (if other options appear and are marked, like an option for WorldCat or Proquest, it's up to you if you want to leave them marked or change to unmarked)
  7. Click Save.

Run a search now and you should see the FindIt@TxState link on the right hand side of citations for journal articles.

***Ignore and do not mark the option you may see for an older option that no longer works, "Find@TxState"
