Q. I would like to check out a laptop for the day. Is that possible?

Yes, daily laptops are available at the Ask Alkek Desk on the second floor of the Alkek Library and at the Information Desk of the RRC Library. You can only check one out for a limited time.  Alkek Library laptops may only be used in the library; laptops from the RRC Library can be taken from the library but you must first log in prior to taking the laptops elsewhere. Daily laptop checkouts are due one hour before closing the day of checkout, regardless of the time of day the laptop was checked out.

Take the laptop back to the service desk where you obtain it for check-in and do not attempt to check them in at the self-service kiosks. The overdue fine is $5.00 per hour, starting immediately after time due.
