Texas State University dissertations can be searched in the Library Catalog by author's name, university department, or keyword.
Limit a search by Format, Thesis.
Limit a search by Subject, which will show a list of University departments.
Bound copies of theses are on the 5th floor of the library in the AS36.T46 call number area and are available for checkout. There are also copies in the University Archives that cannot be checked out.
University Scholarship also index Texas State University Theses and Dissertations. Search by following one of two paths:
- Departments, Schools, Centers & Institutes and then choose a Department from the list. Each department will show two options, one for Faculty Publications and another for Theses and Dissertations.
- Electronic Theses and Dissertations is another way to browse these publications. This option can't be browsed by department or program though.
Dissertations & Theses is a multi-subject database and the world's largest collection of full text theses and dissertations. It contains full-text graduate works and abstracted or indexed records along with the ability to cross-search with other ProQuest resources. To browse Texas State University dissertations and theses:
- Limit the search by "University/institution" by using the "Look up Universities/institutions"
- Type "Texas State University" and mark the "Texas State University - San Marcos"
- Click Add to Search
- Next you can either click Search to browse all TXST publications or enter a keyword at the top then click Search.
